my first blog - The POWER of VISIONFORCE

I think this may be my first blog anywhere. I've resisted doing i, but when I have something important to share I'm willing to stretch myself in ways that I'm not used to. So far seems relatively easy. Here goes...
Participating in VISIONFORCE boot camp was the single most powerful thing I have ever done in my life!
I went through this 9 week program anchored by a 5-day intensive retreat that connected me to my deepest sense of self and power, removed barriers of inner conflict and judgment, and created honor in a way that has had me relate to literally everything and everyone differently. On top of that it was amazing to be surrounded by dedicated change agents from around the world!
Through the physical preparation of running and yoga (as much as I could do, I had a mildly injured ankle) and the workshops that had me powerfully declare what I stand for, I left this experience with a tangibly different experience of myself.
Literally, my posture improved and my voice became clearer. I noticed I wasn't being asked "huh?" like I used to because the mumbling I had previously used to "hide" wasn't there. It felt like anything that was not authentic, or didn't serve me in serving the world, just fell away.
On the Sunday I left boot camp I went directly to an event where I was not on the agenda but asked to speak to the audience or 250+ and was not only granted permission, because of the way I asked (powerfully honoring the organizers and what they are up to), but I delivered the best speech I've ever given in my life!
I have made a career out of working with people who are dedicated to making this world a better place. Among other topics, I've worked on youth programming and leadership training, service learning, hunger and homelessness issues, early childhood development programs, science ethics, environmental stewardship, social justice, and more recently, promoting socially and environmentally responsible behavior for citizens and businesses.
This traning could help people working on every single one of those issues and more. It helps generate families that work, workplaces where people are honored, and communities with deep connections.
I unreservedly recommend this to anyone who wants to be effective at changing the world, contributing to humanity, even if it's just their families, and have a profound appreciation and love for people while doing it! BC
